Math Learning Center

The MLC is one of SAGE's (School of Adult and General Education) resources for mathematics. We provide individual and group tutoring, handouts on a variety of topics, practice tests and guidance to users in selecting materials for Math 550,750, 930, 940, and 950.

!  To students enrolled in math courses above 950!
     For assistance with math courses outside of SAGE's curriculum, that is math courses above 950, you must use the TLC (Tutorial Learning Center) on the first floor of the Jeanette Stromberg building.

  MLC TENETS
 
 The Math Instructional Technicians WILL:
  • Help you to the best of their abilities.
  • Treat you as you would want to be treated.
  • Make sure you get help (before the end of the term).
  • Help with tests, quizzes, and exams with direct permission from your
     instructor.
  • Help with your assignments (knowing the source of the material.   i.e. book, handouts, etc.) No handwritten problems.

The Math Instructional Technicians WILL NOT:

  • Teach entire sections or chapters of the book.
  • Do your assignment for you.
  • Allow your being in the center to replace your attendance in the classroom.

CNM/SAGE/ACE/MLC Policy:  While in the lab, cell phones, pagers and electronic devices MUST BE TURNED OFF!!!     No food or drink at the tutoring tables.  Visit the CNM library for a quiet study area.    Thank you, MLC staff.
