Eight Pieces of Information that every DL Course Should Have

The table below shows each piece of information and outlines one way that Blackboard tools could be used to provide students with this critical information.

DL Support Spotlight

Garth Gerstein
Multimedia Specialist - Instructional Media Resources (IMR), Media Production Services

Garth gave us some thoughts about the use of Multimedia in Distance Learning.  Here are a few answers he provided in his interview.  Be sure to click on the link below to read the complete interview.

Question:   What are your duties at IMR’s Media Production Services?

Answer:

My primary function is to assist CNM faculty and staff with the creation multimedia content either for instructional or informational purposes and to help them distribute the content in any form they need it. I was hired under the Title V grant so I have the additional responsibility of supporting the goals of the Title V grant, but in truth the materials we create for Title V benefit the college as a whole.

Question:    How do you see the Distance Learning multimedia materials being an effective instructional tool?
