4 "Working Together":  Take this Online Learning course offered through Organizational Learning

4 Register by Nov. 8 to attend the Student Success Faculty Meeting, Part 2 on Nov. 10

Faculty who teach high-volume courses that are being targeted for increased student retention and success efforts at CNM are invited to participate in the second Student Success Faculty Meeting  on Friday, November 10.  The meeting, which will take place in SB-100, Smith-Brasher Hall, Main Campus, gets underway with light refreshments at 7:45, followed by the program, which begins at 8:15am and ends at 1:00pm. 

 

All participants must register online no later than Wednesday, November 8, to ensure adequate refreshments and documentation for compensation of part-time faculty who attend the event. Part-time faculty members will be compensated for attendance (5 hours, $22 per hour). Those faculty members teaching on Friday are encouraged to secure substitutes for class coverage.

This online tutorial from the University of Minnesota Center for Teaching and Learning uses video clips to illustrate ten "scenes from a classroom" that involve conflict situations and then provides suggestions and strategies from educational consultants on how to handle or  prevent such conflicts:
