4At-your-desk learning:  Using PowerPoint with Camtasia Studio to make screen-capture presentation or tutorial videos

Instructors and staff members who use PowerPoint to create lectures or presentations can now make them accessible to their audiences in a variety of ways, such as via CD-ROM, the web, or e-mail where they can be played back on a computer or a variety of media players.

Here are some reasons for combining PowerPoint with Camtasia Studio:

  • Record a PowerPoint presentation as it plays.
  • Record the effects, sounds, and music you have inside the PowerPoint presentation.
  • OR embed a Camtasia video in your PowerPoint presentation
  • Embed an animated GIF in your PowerPoint presentation
  • Save a PowerPoint slide as a still image
  • Use Camtasia Player to play back videos in your PowerPoint presentation

Find the tutorial--including a video created with Camtasia Studio--on the following web page:

If you don't have Camtasia Studio on your computer, you can have it installed by calling the ITS Help Desk at 224-HELP.
