4 "Don't Shoot Your Eye Out" online game to play over the break

That movie classic, "A Christmas Story," has spawned an online game that sets up the following scenario:  "It's Christmas morning and time to take out your brand new Red Wrangler Authentic Pump Action Saddle Carbine out to the woods behind the house! [Of course, we all know that what Ralphie Parker yearned for in the movie was an official Red Ryder, air carbine action, two-hundred shot range model air rifle.] Bounce BBs off trees and rocks for points.  Try to get as many bounces as you can with each shot!"  But "remember there, buckaroo, don't shoot your eye out!"

4"Students with Learning Disabilities": How to accommodate their needs
"Students with learning disabilities can greatly benefit when the teacher takes a little extra time and thought to accommodate their needs. These students may need accommodations in some classroom activities, assignments and exams...This webpage on the University of North Carolina website "discusses general issues of pedagogy concerning the teaching of students with a learning disability. In this chapter, we will also discuss the various kinds of situations that could arise in your course and suggest ways to approach these situations."

4Productivity Primer:  "14 Ways to Increase Productivity"
As the New Year approaches, think about changes and resolutions you want to make to increase your satisfaction and sense of accomplishment at work for the coming year. Here's a website that offers suggestions for doing just that. "You don't have to work on an assembly line to take advantage of the time-saving tips they offered...By taking a little time to plan and prepare, you can find extra hours in your day to complete the work you want to do and still have fun...Victor Hugo says, 'He who every morning plans the transactions of the day and follows out that plan carries a thread that will guide him through the labyrinth of the most busy life.'"
