Workshop

This two-part
learnshop will examine how using brain-based learning theory can
be used to engage and retain students in college courses. The
presenter, CNM’s own, dynamic Robin Ramsey has used the work of
Dr. Rita Smilkstein to present more brain friendly lessons in
her developmental Reading and English classes. This approach
can be used in virtually any class. A description of the
approach and results from several other instructors will be
shared in the first session. For the second session,
participants will adapt a lesson for one of their classes.
Participants will also receive a free copy of Dr. Smilkstein’s
book!
