Central New Mexico Community College (CNM) uses a standardized system to collect and organize applications for posted job vacancies as part of the
applicant tracking process. Applicant tracking assures that all applications for a job vacancy
are considered.
1.1 The applications that
Human Resources receives and verifies for completion are entered into the applicant tracking database to produce a database report.
1.2
All candidates for a
job vacancy, whether from current employees or from external sources, are entered into the applicant tracking database.
1.3 Human Resources enters
candidates’ names, contact information and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) data, if given, into the applicant tracking database.
1.3.1 Equal Employment
Opportunity data is only used to report hiring statistics to federal, state or local EEO agencies.
Equal Employment Opportunity data is not retained with the employee’s application after it is entered into the database.
1.4 Applications submitted
by current employees of CNM are retained in the Referral/Hiring packet along with any other applications for the position. They are not placed into the employee’s official personnel file.
1.5 Applications and resumes are considered public record as
defined in the
Inspection of Public Records Act.
