Organize and/or complete the
following referral packet contents in preparation to promote, demote or transfer the recommended candidate.
When the decision has
been made to change an employee’s status:

All applications, resumes, transcripts (where appropriate) and letter of interest

Transmittal Memo

Documented references (where appropriate)

Interview forms/notes (where applicable)

Screening matrices (where applicable)

Justification Memo (required if candidate is brought in above the minimum of rate of pay)
1.2 Complete
the bottom section of the Recommendation for Job Posting (RJPE) form Part II, and fill in:
1.3 Route hiring packet to the dean, director,
manager, or associate vice president, where appropriate.
Human Resources Representative
1.4 Review
the referral/hire packet for completeness.
1.5 Route
to Budget Office.
Budget Office
1.6 Review for compliance with budgetary guidelines.
1.7 Process
packet in accordance with Budget Office procedures.
1.8 Approve and route to appropriate vice president for
review and signature approval.
Vice President
1.9 Review
for approval and route to Human Resources.
Human Resources Technician

Receive the approved hiring packet and notify the department of an approved recommendation for status change.
1.11 Send approved documents to Payroll.
Payroll
1.12 Process documents in accordance with Payroll department procedures.
Supervisor
1.13 Provide employee with Phase II Orientation to
cover information related to job duties and expectations.
Human Resources Technician
1.14 Notify employee of eligibility to enroll in benefits due to change of status and provide information regarding benefits
eligibility.
Human Resources
1.15 Prepare Personnel Data Form (PDF) for any benefits change and submit to Payroll Department.
1.16 Process benefit enrollment application in accordance with Human Resources Department procedures.
